Boryviter at the IT Arena 2024 Tech Conference
Boryviter participated in the IT Arena 2024 technology conference, which took place in Lviv the last weekend, gathering over 5,500 attendees from more than 30 countries. The event served as a platform for discussing cutting-edge technologies, startups, and defense solutions. This year, special attention was given to defense technologies, particularly the impact of military startups on the development of Ukraine’s defense sector.
We presented our advancements in the analytical and defense fields. The CEO of the organization, Orest Bilous, gave a presentation on the importance of a unified system for analysis and research in the defense industry. The focus was on the need to implement an integrated analysis and research system that can significantly enhance the effectiveness of defense solutions and help military startups adapt their products to battlefield needs more quickly.
“Typically, the topic of analysis doesn’t attract much attention, but there’s an advantage to that – it means there are still plenty of opportunities in this field that are just waiting to be grabbed. And right now, we have the chance to make a breakthrough in this area!” emphasized Orest Bilous.
Orest also mentioned the need to improve communication between government bodies and defense startups to ensure efficient use of resources and support from international partners. For this, it’s crucial to implement a needs analysis system that will help optimize decision-making processes and provide timely support from international organizations.
Currently, Boryviter is actively engaged in analytical activities and operates as an amalgamation of two non-governmental, non-profit organizations – Military School and Boryviter Center of Excellence. The Center focuses on analytical work, innovative projects, and international cooperation, supporting the institutional development of Ukraine.
“We are facilitating analytical capabilities in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the General Staff, and other defense structures. This helps military teams process the vast amounts of data coming from the battlefield and use it to accelerate decision-making processes. Today’s battlefield generates enormous amounts of data: sensor readings, intercepted communications, drone footage, and more. Just an example: the daily volume of aerial imagery from drones reaches up to 140TB, which is equivalent to 28 million iPhone photos – or 0.5% of all the photos taken globally by humanity every day. This data flow requires instant analysis, so our commanders can quickly respond to changes on the frontline,” concluded the CEO of Boryviter.
We are grateful to Lviv IT Cluster for the opportunity to participate in important discussions, establish new connections, and be at the heart of the technological discourse aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
