Counter-UAS and SHORAD (C-UAS)

Aerial interception tactics and mobile fire team training. From early detection to the guaranteed target engagement of enemy unmanned aerial systems.

Combat Reality

Enemy unmanned aerial systems — ranging from reconnaissance platforms to loitering munitions — pose a continuous threat that depletes traditional air defence systems. Employing high-value anti-aircraft missiles against mass-produced, low-cost targets is economically unviable. Units on the frontline and in the rear require autonomous capabilities to detect and neutralise aerial threats to ensure their survivability and mission execution.

Training Focus

This capability development programme prepares mobile fire teams and interceptor drone crews for autonomous operations under severe time constraints. Military personnel practice algorithms for early detection, tracking, and target engagement. The focus is on the practical application of interception tactics, enabling units to neutralise enemy aerial threats before they reach their attack positions.

Fixed-Wing UAS: Aerial Interception

Duration5 days / 40 hours
Course Goal

The massive employment of enemy reconnaissance unmanned systems requires the deployment of highly cost-effective air defence assets. This capability development programme prepares crews for fixed-wing interceptor drones. Military personnel master hardware configurations, simulator-based piloting, aerial target tracking algorithms, and interception tactics. Graduates are capable of independently deploying these systems, executing the guaranteed kinetic destruction of enemy reconnaissance drones, and integrating acquired experience to strengthen local air defence architectures.
