Autonomy and Unmanned Systems (UxS) (UxS)

The programme trains external UAS crews for aerial reconnaissance, artillery fire adjustment, sapper support, and the use of "Kropyva" software. The training covers everything from the basics — software configuration and motor skills — to the operation of civilian drones in challenging environments (pilot safety and cybersecurity). Special attention is given to training navigators to work with situational awareness systems and Starlink. The advanced course includes operating Matrice series drones, Autel 4T, cargo platforms, and specialized payloads. Successful completion of the course is the basis for undergoing examination to obtain MOS No. 216 (external crews of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)).

The execution of special missions requires the safe and highly precise delivery of payloads using multirotor unmanned aerial platforms. This capability development programme prepares experienced operators to employ drop systems. Military personnel master hardware integration, ballistic calculations, target approach tactics, and safety protocols when operating DJI Mavic, Air, and Autel EVO class systems. Graduates are capable of independently configuring release mechanisms, planning secure routes, and executing precise target engagement or cargo delivery while systematically reporting verified tactical observations.

The intensive employment of unmanned systems in combat operations demands continuous maintenance, rapid modification, and the integration of specialised payloads. This capability development programme prepares engineering technicians for unmanned systems crews. Military personnel master drone assembly, the configuration of flight controllers and peripheral devices, electronic warfare countermeasures, and initiation systems integration. Graduates are capable of independently repairing and modifying strike systems, deploying aerial relays and ground control stations, and ensuring the continuous operational readiness of equipment.

Effective ground target engagement requires coordinated crew operations within a highly complex electromagnetic environment. This capability development programme establishes autonomous combat FPV drone crews. Military personnel master hardware configuration, mission planning using situational awareness systems, blind piloting, and electronic warfare countermeasures. This capability development programme focuses on maintaining fibre-optic communication systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. Military personnel master fibre splicing, connector installation, line quality analysis using reflectometers, and ground station assembly. Graduates are capable of independently deploying and testing fibre-optic networks, conducting field repairs, and ensuring resilient drone control in complex electromagnetic conditions.

Active electronic warfare countermeasures necessitate the deployment of strike systems resistant to control and video link jamming. This capability development programme prepares crews for the combat employment of fibre-optic FPV drones. Military personnel master the hardware components, mid-air cable laying principles, equipment maintenance, and field deployment tactics.
