A systematic Lessons Learned (LL) process requires specialists capable of working with complex data sets, identifying cause-and-effect relationships and formulating evidence-based recommendations. With the battlefield constantly changing, the demand for such competencies only grows.
Boryviter’s analytical team has developed the “Lessons Learned Analysis: Advanced LL Analyst Course” for current and future LL personnel. The course builds a comprehensive understanding and practical skills for executing the full LL cycle: from collecting and processing information to preparing recommendations, institutionalising changes and disseminating the results. Particular attention is paid to developing analytical thinking.
During the training, participants master:
- research and data collection;
- conducting interviews, surveys and observations;
- identifying root causes;
- working with quantitative and qualitative methods.
These skills enable participants to prepare well-reasoned conclusions and analytical documents that can serve as a foundation for corrective actions, organisational decisions and military planning.
In Ukraine, LL operates in a dynamic military environment, which requires methods and tools to be continuously updated. Under martial law, the programme is updated every quarter to reflect new observations from the Russia-Ukraine war.
