The “Psychological Training and Support” direction helps maintain the mental health of combat participants and improve their emotional and volitional resilience.

 

We provide support through two programs:

– Psycho-emotional recovery sessions
– Individual consultations for combat participants

Programs

Psycho-Emotional Recovery Sessions

Objective: To maintain and improve mental health; to prevent and mitigate adjustment disorders, stress, and anxiety disorders; to harmonize the psycho-emotional state, relieve fatigue, internal tension, and the negative effects of combat participation.

In these sessions, combat participants will gain knowledge about the biology and neurophysiology of stress, learn self-regulation techniques, muscle relaxation exercises, and self-regulation practices, as well as breathing exercises to relieve muscle tension.

Group size: 12 to 30 combat participants.

Duration: 3-6 academic hours.

Objective: To identify the problem and find ways to resolve it or change the attitude towards it, provide assistance in making informed decisions, and assess one’s psychological resources for behavior change. To develop responsibility for one’s behavior and self-awareness, increase stress resistance and psychological culture, and identify cases of mental disorders such as PTSD, risks of self-harm, or suicide.

Format: A confidential conversation between a psychologist and a combat participant.

Duration: 20-60 minutes.
